Terms of Service
Parties and contact
These terms apply to Clarity's digital products. Legal entity: [owner to supply legal entity name]. Mailing address: [owner to supply business mailing address]. Contact: support@claritychecklists.com. No new digital product is available for purchase while launch preparation is underway.
Personal digital license
Purchased checklists are licensed for personal, non-transferable use by one household. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the files. Downloads may be watermarked with the buyer's name, email address and order number.
Checklist app use and renewal
Each purchased checklist copy includes one use in the Clarity App, in one project or standalone. A use is assigned when you activate the checklist. Deleting, archiving, resetting or duplicating a project does not return a consumed copy. Another use requires another app copy, priced at 50% of that checklist's current regular digital edition price in the checkout currency, plus applicable tax.
An activated app copy runs for 12 calendar months. Renewal adds another 12 months to the existing use without issuing another project-use copy or removing remaining paid time. Renewal costs 50% of the current regular digital edition price, plus applicable tax. Renewals require your payment; no automatic renewal is enabled.
After the app term expires, the checklist is read-only for 30 days so you can renew or export your work. After that period, its app records and uploaded photos are scheduled for permanent deletion. Other active checklists and their shared project data are preserved. App expiry does not revoke your purchased downloadable files. Copies already activated before this policy took effect are exempt from annual expiry.
Digital satisfaction guarantee
Digital purchases include a 14-day money-back guarantee, even if you have downloaded or used the files. Request a refund through your purchase library. The Guarantee page explains the process; applicable consumer rights are unchanged.
Accounts and future subscriptions
Keep account access secure and provide accurate information. When subscriptions become available, the checkout will explain automatic renewal, pricing and billing intervals. Cancel anytime through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. No new subscription is currently offered.
Future personalized plans
Personalized plans, when available, will use AI-assisted selection from a human-reviewed library. A Reviewed tier will describe the human review scope and service deadline before purchase. Neither AI assistance nor a review replaces site-specific professional advice.
Hands-on services
Separate signed engagement terms prevail for advisory services, deposits and project support.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not misuse this site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with services or infringe others' rights. Clarity and its licensors retain intellectual property in the site and its content.
No reliance and liability
Content is general planning information, not engineering, architectural, legal, tax, insurance or code-compliance advice. Obtain qualified, site-specific advice and confirm local rules. To the extent permitted by law, Clarity excludes warranties and liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for unlawful misuse of the service and, to the extent permitted by law, for claims arising from that misuse. These terms do not require you to indemnify Clarity for its own unlawful conduct.
Governing law and changes
Ontario law governs, with venue in Toronto, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Material changes will be identified with an updated policy version. Rights under applicable consumer-protection law prevail.
